New year, (almost) the same me.
What to expect in 2026
I’ve taken the past few weeks off from Substack and LinkedIn to focus on family, work, and reflecting on 2025.
Last year was the roller coaster I expected it to be:
Launched new services
Worked with companies in 11 countries
Started building the pricing playbook in public
But regardless of all the progress, one fundemental question kept nagging me: should I even be helping companies with better pricing?
Sure, companies cannot operate without cash. I’ve seen incredible products fall by the wayside because the creator didn’t want to monetise it.
But on the flip side, morally dubious pricing policies like shrinkflation are contributing nothing to society. In some cases, they’re just plain unethical.
So in 2026, I’ll still share best practices and frameworks for pricing as you’ve come to expect from me.
But I’m also going to explore pricing from a more strategic and philosophical angle: How pricing shapes innovation. How it influences behaviour. And what it says about the businesses we build.
Expect essays, papers, and collaborations with interesting people from beyond the field of pricing.
Happy new year everyone!
